Ready for winter

Well that time of year has come along again!
I can't believe it has come so quick though this year....


We have been busy finishing off the harvesting..:-)....far too many carrots...note to self...much less next year...though I say this every year!





We have taken lots and lots of rose cuttings and hopefully most of the will survive under their bottles....






And the onions and garic are once again seeded....and it will be time now to pack away all the garden furniture...until next year..:-(

I hate this bit!

frosts

Well the first frost came today....a little too early for my liking....

We kept warm by wrapping up the pool house....it looks quite sweet like this!
We have left the door openings so we can still get inside .....

5 Years!

5 years today we moved to Srebarna...the time has gone so fast!
But we could not let it pass without a celebration with the neighbours!

Getting colder......

Temeratures are noticeably cooler now and the pool has been packed away until next year.:-(


The last of the tomatoes...harvested...but still much more to do.....



















Some wonderful visitors!

Sometimes nature needs a helping hand....

I spotted this bee not doing very well at all...

So I placed it under a bottle in the sun....with some honey..:-)





After a while it began to move and to eat....so I removed the bottle




It took a little walk about....



Then....30 minutes later...all back to normal....:-)))))

Harvest time -A garden update

Harvest time is here...seems so quick to have come around...

Everything seems ready all at once....
This year I have picked and frozen most of the peppers....




With the chillies I have dried them and they smell delicious....ready for the blender now












All the fruits are ready too...apples..blackberries ...raspberries and plums..
been busy making jam......



The garden is still looking lovely despite being so very, dry again.



They say rain for the next few days which will be wonderful...for all the plants and the wildlife....

Day at the beach......

While we were waiting for the pool to fill we did do some work.....
We took the old piece of the garden that used to have the pool on it and
tried turn it into a beach......
